In Japan there are numerous occasions on which communication takes the shape of a comic strip, from government information campaigns to food marketing and from the promotion of local tourism to the code of conduct in the subway. And there are equally frequent instances of manga heroes promoting products and services. Writer Francesca Scotti, who divides her time between Italy and Japan, will be using original images and her own personal reflections to offer us her insight into Japanese daily visuals.
