DEDICATED | S. Agata de' Goti 1978 - 1979

10 february
admission free

In the terminology of the period S. Agata de’ Goti was defined as a “self-managed space”. It was run and funded (through self-taxation) by a group of painters, poets and musicians for roughly a year, from November 1978 to June 1979. Palazzo delle Esposizioni will be hosting the leading players in the experiment and mapping out its history for the very first time on the basis of what they have to tell us. In the photographs taken at the Galleria dell’Oca on 15 March 1978, we can recognise some of the S. Agata de’ Goti group’s future members at the opening of the exhibition entitled Mario Merz. Balla, Carrà, de Chirico, de Pisis, Morandi, Savinio, Severini.
