To tie in with the Silent Book. Final Destination Lampedusa exhibition the Art Workshop has devised a tour of the exhibition and an accompanying workshop to help us learn the value of silence, to discover the voices and sounds concealed amid the pages of silent books with no words, to sharpen our eyesight and to work together on discovering that a book can be a shelter in which to find refuge from the noisy, chaotic world around us, a bridge between us and our fellows, a travelling companion leading us towards the world of imagination and a physical venue for intercultural encounter and dialogue.
