Yoshiko Watanabe and Arianna Rea chat with Marco Vignati

in conjunction with the Scuola Romana dei Fumetti

Yoshiko Watanabe, an assistant of Tezuka, a mangaka and cartoonist, and Arianna Rea who draws for Disney and Glénat, will be discussing their personal way of interpreting Japanese cartoon drawing in the course of a chat with scriptwriter Marco Vignati. The encounter will be comparing not only the traditional styles and genres of Japanese strip comics with today's output but also different working methods, putting into focus the Euromanga phenomenon, a style in which the influences of Japanese and Western drawing meet and interact.
