Michele Lustrino | Prosperity and Sustainability. Energy transition or mental transition?

9 November 2021, from 11:00am to 1:00pm
cycle of lectures organised in conjunction with Sapienza Università di Roma - Facoltà di Scienze Matematiche, Fisiche e Naturali

The Earch is going to outlive us. If we need to do something, we should do it for ourselves. We must learn to be good egotists. But as good egotists, ironically we need to learn to set our priorities aside. Endless growth cannot be natural. Negative growth cannot be happy, but it is necessary. Energy transition only as a consequence of a mental transition.

Michele Lustrino, Lecturer in petrology, Department of Geology, Rome Sapienza University - Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, studies the way the bowels of a volcano work. He is an enthusiastic populariser of scientific issues.
