Laura Perrone presents “No Manifesto” (1965)

In the United States in the 1960s choreographer Yvonne Rainer began to explore the body and its objective movements by developing a kind of dancing that was a far cry from the technicalities of academic dance. In her No Manifesto she maps out the principles of a minimalist approach designed to revolutionise dance and to reduce it to its essential elements.
