Valentino Catricalà, a scholar and contemporary art curator, on gaining his PhD from Università degli Studi Roma Tre Catricalà became a Part-Time Post Doc Research Fellow at the same university. He works as a research fellow and art and media programme coordinator with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and he is the Art Director of Rome's Media Art Festival hosted at the MAXXI. He has conducted research in such major centres as the ZKM in Karlsruhe, the Tate Modern and the University of Dundee. His field of specialisation lies in analysing the ways in which artists and filmmakers relate to new technologies and the media. He has written a number of essays on the topic for specialist books and magazines and has taken part in international conferences on the subject.
