For lunch, the kitchen offers an à la carte menu, quick dishes made with seasonal ingredients, gastronomy and an offer dedicated to those who have little time on their lunch break but do not want to surrender to the canteen.
Dinners and events are by reservation.
On the same floor you can find the bookstore, the art workshops and the free exhibition rooms.
Palazzo Esposizioni Roma has publicly revealed its commitment to CLIMAVORE, thus becoming the first institution in Italy removing salmon from its catering facilities’ menus and offering to the public dishes rethought by CLIMAVORE, a Cooking Sections’ project curated by The Orchestras of Transformation, which explores the links between food, the way we eat and the climate crisis.
Caffè delle Esposizioni becomes CLIMAVORE with the elimination of salmon and introducing a new menu rethought with a CLIMAVORE twist by chef Roberta Virgilio, in collaboration with the duo Cooking Sections. The menu includes the introduction of dishes made with ingredients that contribute to the regeneration of soil and water, promoting new lifestyles able to respond to the challenges posed by the climate crisis. In particular, the fennel used in one of the dishes is produced by aquaponics cultivation, an innovative production plant with a positive impact on the environment.
At the end of September, on Turner Prize 2021 nomination recurrence, the Cooking Sections launched a network of over 20 institutions in the UK (including TATE and Serpentine Galleries) that propose CLIMAVORE menus in their restaurants.
Therefore, the Italian campaign wants to symbolically open to other museums, foundations, and Italian contemporary art centers that will adopt the CLIMAVORE philosophy in their bars, restaurants, or catering services management.
