Pier Paolo Pasolini’s rapport with French culture, its philosophers, its cinema and its literature. Above and beyond the bridges built by Pasolini’s instinctive hospitable intelligence with cultures and languages alien to him in general, his rapport with France in particular was a rapport based on interlocution. Pasolini turned to France and called out to it, but did the French respond?

Official opening of the exhibition and lecture-cum-performance by Adam Chodzko entitled Renata,remember you are unconscious; you have no expression, no pain you don’t yell, you are unconscious! The exhibition will be open to the public from Monday 31 October to Friday 25 November. Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm (closed at the weekends and on public holidays, including Tuesday 1 November). The exhibition is part of Pier Paolo Pasolini. Everything Is Sacred, a major exhibition project coordinated and shared by the Azienda Speciale Palaexpo di Roma, the Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica and the MAXXI Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo, to mark Pier Paolo Pasolini’s first centenary.

Pier Paolo Pasolini: Corpi e luoghi

27 October from 8.30 pm to 11.30 pmProjection may be viewed in via Cadore/via Liguria (seat of the Istituto Svizzero)  

Projection of a few pages from the book ‘Pier Paolo Pasolini: corpi e luoghi’ (Theorem in 1981) by Michele Mancini and Giuseppe Perrella on the outside walls of Villa Maraini. 

Installation devised by Benedikt Reichenbach to mark Pier Paolo Pasolini’s first centenary. 

The installation has been produced in conjunction with Hotel W Rome and may be visited at the same time as the opening of “Pier Paolo Pasolini. EVERYTHING IS SACRED – The body as seer at the Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica – Palazzo Barberini.
