FESTIVAL OF VIEWPOINTS

“only after resting your hands on something should you allow your gaze to rest on it”
Giuseppe Penone

Three days to visit the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, to look at the exhibitions from different points of view and to turn your outlook on the world and on people upside down and inside out thanks to a multiplicity of languages ranging  from art and science to dance, the cinema and even architecture.

A festival dedicated to all kinds of different audiences, devised and co–designed with an impressive network of partners including the Unione Italiana Ciechi e Ipovedenti di Roma to the Lega del Filo d’oro, the Compagnia Virgilio Sieni, the Gruppo Inclusione per la Didattica e Divulgazione dell’Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (INAF), the Museo Tattile Statale Omero and architect, museologist and accessibility expert Fabio Fornasari.

The programme for the first edition, dedicated to the theme of tactility, includes tours of the Touching Beauty. Maria Montessori Bruno Munari exhibition with a group of guides with impaired sight, tactile exhibits and tours organised by INAF for the Science of Rome. A city’s past, present and future exhibition, the launch of the book “Danza Cieca” or “Blind Dance” with a performance by Virgilio Sieni, dancing lessons for adults and children, screenings in the Sala Cinema, workshops with architects and illustrators to visualise space with our hands and much more besides.
