Filippo Trojano
has been practicing photography since the age of 12, taking part at only 19 in his first collective exhibition, at the Maisons du Geste et de l'Image in Paris, in the context of the Mois de la Photo '96.  He began to work with fine-art printer Andrea Calabresi in 1998 and started to take an interest in art photography.  He became a professional photographer in 2000, studying under and working with artists of the calibre of Arno Minkkinen, Marco Delogu and Abelardo Morell.  He has been lecturing in the theory, history and technique of photography since 2001.  His love of the cinema led him to meet movie director Abbas Kiarostami and to play an acting role in the film Tickets (Olmi, Kiarostami, Loach, 2005).  That experience also led him to publish his first book of photographs, entitled “Viaggio/Tickets, Carnet de Tournage”.
