BOLOGNA IN ROME
An Exhibition of Work by Illustrators from the Children's Book Fair
14 April to 23 May 2010

Palazzo delle Esposizioni > Biblioteca Europea > Biblioteca Centrale Ragazzi

Following in the footsteps of the original event in Bologna, the Exhibition of Work by Illustrators from the Bologna Children's Book Fair is coming to Rome for the very first time.  The Palazzo delle Esposizioni, in conjunction with Biblioteche di Roma, is proud to present a selection of work by 87 illustrators from all over the world.  The exhibition, which will be traveling to Tokyo after it closes here in Rome, is broken down into three sections:  the Palazzo delle Esposizioni will be hosting work by Italian and Spanish illustrators along with a monographic display of work by Catalan artist Josep Antoni Tàssies, the artist who drew the cover for the 2010 Annual; the Biblioteca Europea will be showing work by European illustrators; and non-European illustrators' work will be on display at the Biblioteca Centrale Ragazzi.  Each venue will also offer a full program of initiatives, events and encounters.

The Art Bookshelf at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni presents Reading Art, a wide selection of new titles presented by both Italian and foreign art publishers for children at the Book Fair, along with a full program of encounters and workshops for children, teenagers and teachers
