Aalto explores the life and work of Alvar Aalto, one of the world’s greatest contemporary architects. The film recounts, for the very first time, the intimate love story between Alvar and his first wife Aino Aalto, also an architect, and guides us through their creative process and their iconic buildings scattered all around the world: the wonderful buildings in Finland, a bookshop in Russia, the students’ dormitory at the MIT in Boston, a private art gallery close to Paris and numerous other unique sites. Combining entertainment with information and contemporary footage with rare archive material, the films takes us on a journey exploring the private and professional lives of an artist who, with his vision, has had a major impact on the world of contemporary architecture.

Out Stealing Horses - Il passato ritorna
, a drama directed by Hans Petter Moland based on the award-winning novel of the same name by Per Petterson, tells the story of Trond Sanders, a sixty-year-old man who decides to leave Oslo after his wife dies in order to go and live in the forests of Norway, in a tiny village on the Swedish border where he had lived with his family during his childhood. Trond’s unexpected encounter with Lars, his neighbour whom he had known as a boy, brings back memories and the time may have come for him to find answers regarding his past – because his father suddenly disappeared back in 1948.
