Sacred point

Admission free while places last - reservations are required

directed by Francesca Mazzoleni. Italy, 2020, 94 min.

Sacred Point is the last triangle of habitable space left at the mouth of the Tiber, the last self-built shanty town in Ostia. This documentary tells the story of its community comprising 500 families, such as the purely female family of Franca, the narrator and driving force behind the stories that bring this sliver of land to life. A tale midway between realism and projection into the imagination, between nostalgia and inevitable pragmatism.
