Salò or the 120 days of Sodom

7 december
Admission free while places last – reservations are required

directed by Pier Paolo Pasolini. Italy, France, 1975, 116 min.

Pasolini hurled his final accusation at contemporary society and its ersatz tolerance with a shocking film depicting the inferno of torture and perversion that representatives of the authorities inflicted on the bodies of young prisoners in a villa transformed into a prison camp. The transposition of the horrors described by Sade in the Italy of Mussolini’s Social Republic dissimulate our present era, in which the genocide of society’s standardisation has finally come full circle.
