Capodarte 2023 at Palazzo delle Esposizioni

The many free events in the Roma Capodarte 2023 festival, promoted by Rome the Capital City’s Culture Department in conjunction with the Department of Cultural Activities, kick off all over the city on 1 January.

Concerts, guided tours, shows, encounters and activities for the young and the less young will be animating the city’s museums, public libraries, theatres, cinemas and other cultural venues which will be opening especially for the occasion.

 

The Palazzo delle Esposizioni is taking part in Capodarte 2023 with free admission to its exhibitions from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm (no further admission after 7.00 pm):

Pier Paolo Pasolini. EVERYTHING IS SACRED. The body poetic, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the great Italian thinker, poet and filmmaker’s birth;

Mario Merz. Balla, Carrà, de Chirico, de Pisis, Morandi, Savinio, Severini. Rome 1978, the second edition of the Exhibitions on Show exhibition recreating the exhibition held in Rome’s historic Galleria dell’Oca in 1978;

Of Acrobats and other stories. Photographs from the Driving Energy Award, a compendium of the exhibition held at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in November 2022, supplemented by an exploration of award winner Paolo Ventura. The exhibition also extends into the bookshop which will be hosting I Ginestra, the series with which Paolo Ventura won the award.

 

In the context of the Pier Paolo Pasolini. EVERYTHING IS SACRED. The body poetic exhibition, the Rotunda area will be hosting More modern than any modern person by Andrea Cortellessa and Pasolini, the way of suffering by Andrea Pomella.

For younger visitors, the Art Workshop will be holding two editions of the free animated tour entitled A refuge all for me devoted to the Mario Merz. Balla, Carrà, de Chirico, de Pisis, Morandi, Savinio, Severini. Rome 1978. Exhibitions on Show exhibition, a special occasion for ringing in the new year together.
