A new edition of spot!, a rendez-vous at cocktail hour offering a guide to the appreciation and interpretation of a work of art, is returning to the Palazzo delle Esposizioni to mark "The Guggenheim. The American Avant-Garde 1945-1980" exhibition at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, with a series of seven encounters designed to explore trends and players in American art after the Second World War: from Abstract Expressionism, through Pop Art, to Conceptual Art and Photorealism.

Worshop for families and schools

Tour the exhibition to explore the new ideas developed by American artists between the end of World War II and the late 1970s. Join the workshop to experiment with the evolution of the image from the abstract to the figurative and vice-versa — a sweeping overview of the most significant changes wrought by Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, Conceptual Art and Photorealism.

To mark Italy-Russia Culture Year and the major exhibition entitled Socialist Realisms. Soviet Painting 1920-1970, which tells the story of the plurality of visual culture under the Soviet regime, the Art Worshop has organized The Beastly Wardrobe, an exhibition and installation designed by Vladimir Radunsky, a Russian illustrator who chose to move to New York after spending the first part of his life in Moscow.

Photography course for adults

The Palazzo delle Esposizioni's Educational Services - Art Workshop has scheduled a new cycle of lectures on photography for enthusiasts, professionals and students following the success of its first edition.  The course, run by professional photographers Stefano D’Amadio and Filippo Trojano, consists of four theme-based lectures ranging from the basics of analogue and digital cameras to the creative potential of Photoshop while also taking a look at the work of some of the leading photographers of the 20th century.  The course will address both theory and practice, with guided hands-on work.
